THE ATP WORLD TOUR ARCHIVE
Synopsis
The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour is the elite tennis professional circuit organised by the ATP. The ATP World Tour calendar comprises the Grand Slam tournaments, the ATP World Tour Masters 1000, the ATP World Tour 500 Series, the ATP World Tour 250 Series, the ATP World Team Championship, the Davis Cup, and the ATP World Tour Finals.
The ATP World Tour Masters 1000, previously known as the ATP Masters Series, is held annually throughout the year in Europe and North America. All nine events in the schedule are considered the most prestigious events of The ATP Tour outside of The Grand Slams. Each exciting moment has been captured in The ATP World Tour Archive, alongside footage from the ATP World Tour 500 Series and a selection of footage from the ATP World Tour 250 Series. The ATP World Tour Archive has built an extensive collection of footage and programming, including highlights for each ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event since 2001 to the present day.
The ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events feature the top male players on the professional circuit, and results in these events earn players more world ranking points than regular tournaments, though not as many as Grand Slam events or the year-end ATP World Tour Finals. Each year the best players from around the globe try to accumulate points from each of the nine events in order to qualify for the season ending Tennis Masters Cup. Players featured in the ATP World Tour Archive include Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and many more.
