IMG Entertainment, a division of global sports and media company IMG Worldwide, announced today that it will be taking the star studded Nobel Peace Prize Concert 2010 (1x52’/ 1x76’), which will be hosted by Denzel Washington, to this year’s MIPCOM.
The 17th annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert, produced by IMG in cooperation with Eyeworks Dinamo and NRK, will take place on Saturday 11th December in Oslo, Norway at the Oslo Spektrum arena. The show will feature performances by world-renowned artists including Florence +the Machine, Herbie Hancock and Colbie Caillat, with more musicians to be announced in the coming weeks.
In 2009 the Concert’s international household reach was in excess of 500 million and it has been viewed in up to 100 countries.
For the past sixteen years, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony has been followed the next day by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, a musical celebration honouring the laureate.

The Nobel Peace Prize is given annually to an individual or organisation whose work exemplifies a spirit of hope and leadership that will help promote peace in the world. The laureate will be in attendance at the Concert, which is presented by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert AS and will be broadcast to a worldwide audience.
It is the most prestigious award in the world, honouring icons such as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Barack Obama, Kofi Annan, Al Gore and other remarkable individuals and organisations.
The concert is presented by the Nobel Peace prize Concert AS.
