CSI, a division of IMG Sports Media, today announced it has signed a four year deal with Cricket South Africa (CSA) for the worldwide distribution (outside of Africa) of all international cricket played in South Africa, taking the partnership into its twentieth year.
The deal, which begins in 2008/09, covers Test Matches, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 matches as part of major tours by Australia, England and India.
Chris Guinness, CEO of CSI Sports, said: “We look forward to continuing our long standing relationship with Cricket South Africa over the course of the next four seasons and intend on making sure that this exciting coverage continues to be seen across the globe”.
Gerald Majola, CEO of Cricket South Africa, commented: “CSA is delighted to continue its mutually-beneficial relationship with CSI. CSA's policy is to pursue excellence in all its endeavours and this certainly applies to CSI as our television distribution agent for all international cricket played in South Africa. CSI's expertise ensures that the Proteas’ achievements are seen throughout the world, which is a major boost for both the game and the nation”.
In addition to representing Cricket South Africa, CSI has distributed the media rights of Cricket Australia and New Zealand Cricket for more than fifteen years.
South Africa is currently second in both the Test match rankings and the One Day International rankings.
