IMG Sports Media, a division of IMG Worldwide, announced today that it has sold the DVD licence of The World’s Strongest Man (WSM) programme Thirty Years of Pain to packaging and replication experts brandedmedia. The deal will mark brandedmedia’s first DVD distribution partnership and cover all territories Worldwide except North America.
Thirty Years of Pain, an IMG Sports Media production, is a 1 x 70’ special documentary which takes a look back at the last three decades of legendary sporting competition World’s Strongest Man.
The DVD features interviews from some of the competition’s biggest names including Bill Kazamaier and Geoff Capes as well as the event’s founder, Barry Frank.
Thirty Years of Pain will also contain a special bonus feature, ‘The Making Of The World’s Strongest Man’, which takes fans behind the scenes of the 2006 WSM Finals.
The World’s Strongest Man, which celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year, was viewed by over 220 million people worldwide when the competition was broadcast on Five in 2008.

The DVD is due to be released in the UK and Eire on 15th June.
