About the Swiss Football League
The Swiss Football League (SFL) is the organising body of the competitions in professional football in Switzerland: Axpo Super League (highest level) with ten teams and Challenge League (2nd division) with 16 teams. While the Axpo Super League is positioned as a top league comprising clubs that can also be internationally competitive the Challenge League is basically designed as a platform for young home trained players to possibly start a national or international career in top-flight football.
