IMG Sports Media, a division of IMG Worldwide has been appointed by FIFA to distribute Inflight and ship-at-sea broadcast rights of the FIFA World Cup™.
The agreement, which is effective immediately, sees IMG represent FIFA’s broadcast rights to the cruise-liners on international waters and airlines for the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups™.
IMG will offer daily and weekly highlights in addition to tournament round up packages. As a result, IMG is in an excellent position to offer a number of bespoke deals to suit all individual cruise-liners and airline needs.
All 64 matches will be available worldwide along with a dedicated technical support team to ensure reliable delivery of all the action.
Founded in 1904, FIFA - the Fédération Internationale de Football Association is football’s governing body and based in Zurich. FIFA is responsible for the organisation and governance of football's major international tournaments, most notably the FIFA World Cup™, held since 1930.
The forthcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup™ will be held in South Africa, between 11 June and 11 July 2010, and the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ will be held in Brazil.
