Trans World Sport is the world's leading international sports news and features programme.

Trans World Sport began life in May 1987, and has been in continuous weekly production ever since. The Programme's philosophy is a simple one and has remained constant throughout: If its important in world sport, it should be in the programme.

With such a rich and varied brief, Trans World Sport has travelled the globe , filming in well over 100 countries, covering almost all the sports major and minor, known to man. From Chueka, a form of Patagonian hockey, to Gorodki, a Russian cross between skittles and baseball, Trans World Sport has featured it, ever mindful of setting each sport in its proper cultural and historical context.

But Trans World Sport is far from an "exotic" sports show. Our vast experience and reputation lead to the granting of access to material from the major federations, events and championships around the globe. Our news section covers all the worlds sporting headlines; we reflect all the stories behind those headlines; and we spend time with those who make the headlines. From Tiger Woods to takanohana, Maria Mutola to Maria Sharapova, the list of sporting legends profiled on Trans World Sport is immense; its easier to list who hasn't been in the show!
