THE DAY OF THE KAMIKAZE
Synopsis
In the chaos of World War II, with their country in ruins and facing the ignominy of total defeat, thousands of young Japanese men were asked to make the ultimate sacrifice: to perform one final mission that would result in certain death.
With original colour film of actual kamikaze attacks, dramatised reconstructions, photo-real CGI, newly discovered letters and diaries and the testimony of survivors from both sides, this is the extraordinary and compelling story of the world’s first suicide bombers - THE KAMIKAZE.
