NFL 2010-2011
Synopsis
Home to the world’s best American Football players and watched by millions of passionate fans across the globe, the NFL offers hard hitting sport and all action entertainment. 32 teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys compete in the NFL’s 21 week season, in some of the world’s biggest stadiums. Star players such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Reggie Bush, Matt Cassell and Drew Brees battle it out on the field in one of sport’s most physical contests.
The League is divided into two conferences, the American Football Conference and National Football Conference. Both conferences have four regional divisions, each with four teams. A playoff system concludes the season, with the winners of the Conference Championships meeting in the season finale, the Super Bowl, the world’s biggest annual sporting event. The Super Bowl XLV will be held at the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium. More than 100,000 fans will witness all the action in the world’s largest domed stadium.
The 2010/11 season will also include an International Series game, with two teams flying to England for the fourth consecutive year. In 2009 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium in London. 90,000 fans watched as Tom Brady threw three touchdowns to seal at 35-7 win for the Patriots.
