ASA ACTION SPORTS WORLD TOUR

Synopsis

The ASA Action Sports World Tour is the industry’s oldest and most elite action sports circuit. The Tour features the world’s top skateboard, BMX and Freestyle Motocross (FMX) pros. In 2010 the Tour will have stops in marquee cities across the globe. In 2009 events took place in Chicago, Berlin, Moscow and Los Angeles, amongst others, with weekends of exhilarating performances.

The contests include Skateboard Vert, Big-Air BMX Triple Jump and FMX performances as well as a full concert from major bands. Past acts include Kayne West, Black Eyed Peas and Ludacris. The world’s top pros compete at the highest level for a chance to gain valuable ranking points to qualify for the season-ending Action Sports World Championships. With more than 20,000 spectators cheering them on and over $1 million up for grabs in prize money, this is action sports at its finest.

The competitions feature stars such as 2008 X Games and LG Skateboard Vert World Champion Pierre-Luc Gagnon, X Games Skateboard Vert Champion Bucky Lasek, former Skateboard World Champion Sandro Dias (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and X Games BMX Gold Medalist Daniel Dhers (Caracas, Venezuela).
