Vardon remains the only player to ever win The Open Championship six times, while Braid and Taylor were both Champions on no less than five occasions. The footage also includes Vardon playing against Braid in an exhibition match played in Edinburgh in 1904.

The R&A Archive also holds footage from a match played at Musselburgh, Scotland on 20th May 1898 between Willie Park Junior and Willie Fernie, two top amateur players at that time. This is thought to be the earliest existing golf footage in the world.
